Description
Black straw hat with brim in front forming a bonnet shape; brim is lined with black satin, pleated; black silk flowers and ribbon decorate front of hat with satin ribbon reaching around to back; 26" long grosgrain ribbons, much frayed, tie under chin; brown shiny sheer cotton lines the hat from brim almost to crown.

worn by donor's grandmother Elizabeth De Kok (1836-1904).
