Description
Wire frame with straw top and fine brown tulle underside forming a wide brim; crown with base wiring, but covering is no longer there; poor condition.
History
This hat belonged to donor's great-grandmother, Ada McRoy (1848-1933). She was an early resident to Macatawa, MI, from Chicago, ca. 1890's. Ada and her husband George (1852-1938) were friends of Frank Baum. Dorothy Hall was a granddaughter.
