Description
a) 74" x 28 1/2" x 28 1/2"; flat plywood board frame with dark brown finish; two ends have heavy posts with knobs front and back; each end has turned rails with five spindles; wood pieced off where slat connect to ends.b) 71" x 26" x 5 1/2"; inner spring mattress seat covered with woven, cream-colored material; welting encircles top and bottom surfaces; fabric very stained.c,d) 34" x 15 1/2 " x 7 1/2"; two auxiliary cushions with woven , cream colored upholstery with longitudinal zippers on lower side; top of each has a wide strap enhanced by a gilded resin rose; fabric very stained.e) 85 1/2" x 2" x 2"; gold metal rod with movable dome-shaped ends; pole for c,d) cushion straps to attach on; metal worn in center of rod.
History
The donor received this daybed from his aunt, Ruth Stevens. Ruth lived in the Fennville/Saugatuck area. The manufacturer of the bed is not known.
