Description
Stiff black felt man's hat with rounded crown; brim is narrow and curled edge is bound with black grosgrain ribbon; 1" wide band around had is also black grosgrain ribbon, formed into a flat bow; inside of black leather headband with gold-printed "The Lokker-Rutgers Co. Holland, Mich." on one side, "Portis, America's Best Value, Sterling" on the other side; front of headband with gold-printed "Imported Fur" and two rabbits, white braid bow at seam; size tag "Portis 7 1/4"; white satin lines crown with center logo "Portis, Fashioned by Hand, Swan's Down Finish" under an overlay of clear plastic; good condition.
