Description
White cotton robe with dark blue Chinese lantern-type pattern; shoulders are lined with a yoke of plain coarse cotton, another piece of lining protects seating area; large square sleeves with arm opening at top of sleeve; a wide 6" tuck is basted horizontally at waist area.
History
The donors, Ronald and Beti (Buursma) Thompson lived in Japan in the late 1960s. Beti had lived in Holland, MI prior to moving to Japan with Ronald. By 1974 the couple had returned to Holland, MI (Holland Sentinel, 6-3-1974).
