a) Dark blue straw hat with turned up rim; rim has a colorful trim of pink,red, green and blue silk that covers the depression inside rim and halfway up crown; a heavy dark blue net supports crown inside; "Irene of New York" is on a tag inside back.b) 6" x 11 1/2" x 1/16"; separate folded piece of colorful silk material matching hat trim; probably to be worn with the hat in one side of rim.
