Description
Wooden Boston rocker painted yellow with a narrow green and gold trim on seat and crest rail; six narrow spindles between heavier post attach crest rail and seat; 18" x 16 1/2" seat curves down in front and up at back; armless; trim on seat worn, paint worn off in areas, especially on rockers.
History
Chair came from the Harry A. Broek family who lived on Harvard Drive between 8th Street and Country Club Road, Holland, Michigan.
Harry was born ca. 1879 in Holland Township to Henry and Helen Broek. He married Mary Mulder on April 8, 1908 in Holland, MI. They had two children: Helene; and, Harry, Jr..
