Brownish, olive-drab, oval-shaped steel helmet, sometimes called "tin hat:' 3.4" adjustable leather and string mesh headliner with opening at top, with 1/2" round rubber ring 4" across in crown; underneath headliner is a deteriorated 1/4" think felt pad; "FS161" stamped on underside of brim; on side, 1/2" down from top of helmet is a 2 1/2" x 2" dent.History
