Marion Shackson had this Dutch costume made for her in 1932. She wore it in the classroom and parades during Tulip Time.
Marion was born on 12-15-1905 in Onaway, MI. She moved to Holland, MI with her family in 1928. Marion's parents were John (1861-1943) and Mattie Shackson (1872-1959). Her siblings included Ramona (a teacher at Van Raalte School in Holland, MI); Rolland (Hope professor); Edith; and Renetta.
