Description
Heavy tan cotton gown with straight sides and short sleeves; V-neck has leather collar, 31" long in front, 12" in back; various, multi-colored, wooden beads on long thongs are used for decoration; underarm seam of sleeves has orange beads mingled with fringe matching fringe and orange wooden beads at back of collar; hem is finished with leather fringe; tarnished round metal pin with design is attached on left wide of collar.
History
Gown belonged to the donors' mother, Leona Schaddelee Lugers (1906-2001). Leona lived in Holland, MI on South Shore Drive with her husband James ( -1996). Both are buried in Holland's Graafschap Cemetery.
