Description
Brilliant orange satin spread printed with large and small iridescent blue, green, yellow and silver dragons; on border is star trademark over silver Chinese symbols above "YIH SING ZANG SILK FACTORY, SHANGHAI CHINA"; top of a bridal bedspread.
History
Donor Jean Walvoord, was born in Japan to missionaries Anthony & Edith Walvoord who married in 1905 and served in the field until 1919. She served as a nurse in Amoy, China from 1931-1934, in Sebo, the Philippines in 1948 for 18 months and as head of nursing at Mackay Memorial Hospital in Taipei, northern Formosa (Taiwan) from 1951 until her retirement in 1974
