Description
An empty business size manila envelope addressed to D.B.K. VanRaalte c/o Charles P. Limbert Co., Holland Michigan. From Jerry Lipman, 123 W. 57th St, New York. The envelope if marked "personal" and had two 6 cent air mail stamps and  one 10 cent special delivery stamp. The postmark sent from New York, NU on Feb 14 at 9 PM and arrived in Holland Mih on Feb 15 at 1 PM in 1939.
History
D.B.K. VanRaatle was an original investor in the Limbert Furniture company and became one of the controlling officers after Charles P.'s death in 1923. Charles P. Limbert started the Charles P. Limbert Company (1894-1944) to manufacture chairs. In 1902, the company began to produce a line of furniture entitled “Dutch Arts and Crafts" or "mission" style of furniture. It is this style that brought recognition to the company. The Holland Michigan factory was located on the corner of 6th and Columbia in Holland.
