Description
Heavy, fine-grained, wood carving of a young Indonesian man with sculptured head and face; figure wears a sarong and head-cloth and is shown perched, with knees bent up, on a triangular, decorative base; a high, flat, oval back forms a bookend; red and white paper tag on base is penned "No 1g" with "B/B R/3 275" in pencil.
