Description
Skirt or sarong (sin mhai mon) sewn together forming a double-layered wrap-around garment; hand-woven; at top is a stiff black 9" band; body of skirt is of softer panels of alternating designs- -vertical gold stripes separated by lighter purple, stair-step designs and black panels with multi-colored designs; lower end is finished with a 9" dark purple band, solidly embroidered with gold, orange, black and white geometric designs; hand-dyed by Lao weavers; used for casual daily wear.
