Description
Round, domed metal helmet from World War One.  On the front, some letters are barely visible in white.  On the sides, there is a "G" above a black circle.  Within the circle, there are four triangles.
This helmet has a leather chin strap that attaches under the brim.  Metal buckl in place for adjustments.
Inside the helmet there is a black cushion.
History
The WWI objects in 2005.10 belonged to Lawrence A. Slotman, a veteran of World War I. He was born in Overisel, MI in 1888. He passed away in Holland, MI in 1961.
Lawrence worked as a farmer in North Holland for 40 years.
The donor, Ruth Slotman, is his daughter.
