History
James "Jim" Marvin Cook was born 2-29-1896. He served in the Army, Company L, 7th Infantry, 3rd Division in France during World War One.
Jim married Kathryn Ter Beek (1899-1992) on 5-27-1920 in Zeeland, MI. For more than 20 years, the couple lived at 203 West 8th Street in Holland, MI. They had one daughter, Betty Dean Cook (1930-2013), the donor of several WW I objects, photographs and postcards from her father.
Jim worked for the West Michigan Furniture Company and the Charles R. Sligh Company. He died on April 20, 1963 and is buried in the Pilgrim Home Cemetery.
