Color painting by Holland, MI resident Henry Veldheer of the A.W. Gumser & Company Willow Ware basket factory located in Holland at 133 Fairbanks Ave.  In the center of the painting is a willow basket.  In the upper left, willow shoots are growing.  The lower left shows a white building with bound shoots.
History
Henry Marvin Veldheer was born on 3-19-1915 in Holland, MI. to Jacob and Ida Veldheer. Henry lived in Holland, MI and worked as a refrigerator repairman. Henry’s wife was Mae Ruth Nagelkerke. (1918-2011).

Henry died 1-12-2007 in Holland, MI. Both Henry and Mae are buried in Holland’s Pilgrim Home Cemetery.

August W. Gumser (1861-1939) lived in Holland, MI with his wife Hulda at 306 East 8th Street.
