Description
Apron, 35" x 15 1/2"; black, gathered onto wide waist band; stripes of pink hearts and pink and cream flowers; band edged in white embroidered ribbon, from a woman's Dutch costume modeled after costumes worn in the Netherlands province of Zeeland.
History
This Dutch costume, in the design of costumes worn in the Zeeland province of the Netherlands, was worn during Tulip Time by the donor, Ann Kiewel. Ann is a Holland, MI resident and served as director of the Netherlands Museum/Holland Museum from 1990-2003.
