Black wool U.S. Coast Guard uniform; (b) is a middy blouse. The collar has three white bands and two stars on front at right; on the chest is a gold eagle in circle; on left, multi color ribbon pinned on. A chevron is sewn onto left sleeve. The cuffs have three white bands and button closure.
The donor’s husband, John Weeber, Jr. (1923-2007), wore this while serving in the Coast Guard during WWII. John, a longtime resident of Holland, MI (ca. 1954-2002), was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Holland. He worked for Wolverine Brass in Grand Rapids.
