Description
Costume jacket, Dutch, in the style of Volendam, from the Province of North Holland.  Consists of a felt fabric of blue and black. Two rows of six buttons, alternating black and blue, run down the front. The tag on the inside has name of wearer "Harry Coop" and his size "40C 36W".
History
Holland Furnace began in 1906, founded by John P. Kolla (1860-1933) and his son-in-law, August H. Landwehr (1880-1937). By 1948, the company had a branch in 48 states with sales reaching $41 million. Holland Furnace ceased production in 1962.
