One pair of miniature wooden shoes. Burnt into the outer side of each is "W.A.D. 1892".These document the birth of Willis Alcott Diekema in 1892. W. A. Diekema was the son of Gerrit Diekema.

Willis Alcott Diekema was born in Holland, MI on 10-5-1892 to Gerrit J. Diekema and Mary Alcott. He passed away in Pinellas Co., FL on 10-27-1988.Willis married Beatrice Steketee (1897-1988) in Holland, MI on 11-10-1923. Their children included Sarah Diekema and Doris Diekema (1926-2002).
The 1910, 1920, 1930 and 1940 US Census shows Willis living in Holland, MI. Willis was a veteran of WW1.
