Description
Dress, wedding: (a) white, rayon wedding dress and (b) slip. Both the dress and the slip have a floor-length hemline and a sheath silhouette. The slip has spaghetti straps. The neckline of the dress is a soft collard v-neck. The dress has a natural waist and puffed t-shirt sleeves. Both the collar and the sleeves have netting border trim. There is a floral applique embellishement at the neck. The dress was worn by Mrs. Eleanor Vande Water as documented in the wedding photo.
History
Wedding dress worn in August 1936 by Eleanor Wierda Vande Water (1916-2008). She married John H. Vande Water.
