Description

Holland Furnace Company Service Bond, rectangular in shape on cream-colored paper. Brownish gold border on front with brownish gold seal.
Black lettering on front states that "This is to Certify that Holland Furnacesize #45 installed for Mr. L. F. Harris in residence at...in the City of Dauphin and State of Pa is fully guaranteed to give good heating service in all rooms to which pipes have been run....Nov. 22, 1923.".1924

History

Holland Furnace began in 1906, founded by John P. Kolla (1860-1933) and his son-in-law, August H. Landwehr (1880-1937). By 1948, the company had a branch in 48 states with sales reaching $41 million. Holland Furnace ceased production in 1962.
