Apron, white with pocket in front on right side. The initials “MAC” are embroidered into the pocket. They stand for the donor’s name, Mary Ann Cumerford.History
This apron was made by the donor, Mary Ann Cumerford, in economics class at Holland High School.Mary Ann (1938-2013) was born in Wisconsin to Ralph and Joan Cumerford. The family moved to Holland, MI ca. 1944. In 1956 she graduated from Holland High and later attended Hope College. While at Hope she met Don Van't Hof. They were married 55 years at the time of her passing.
Ralph Cumerford owned and operated Keefer's Restaurant, located at 27 West 8th Street in Holland, MI. By 1947 the name had been changed to Cumerford's Restaurant. Ralph married Joan Speet in Holland, MI on 4-12-1935.
