Jacket was part of the uniform worn by band director Henry Vander Linde, conductor of the Holland Christian Marching Band. Henry P. Vander Linde age 83, of Holland passed away peacefully Friday April 4, 2008, at Lakeside Vista Retirement Center.Vander Linde taught instrumental music in the Holland Christian Schools for 36 years. A member of the Michigan School Band and Orchestra Association, Vander Linde was named Teacher of the Year in 1968 and 1977. He was well-known throughout West Michigan as director of the Holland American Legion Band, which he directed for 40 years until 2006.
