The donor, Harley Brown, is a resident of Holland, MI and a graduate of Hope College. With a degree in music Harley found work as a vocal music teacher at West Ottawa High School. He retired from West Ottawa after 29 years.While there, he founded the Vocalaires, a group of select singers from West Ottawa. Harley received this metronome as a gift from the Vocalaires during the 1960’s. It would serve him well throughout his teaching career.
