Description
Light brown,long sleeved mouton fur coat. Mouton is processed sheepskin, sheared and dyed to resemble beaver or seal.  The inside lining is burgundy, possibly silk.  There are five wire, u-shaped clasps that run down the front right side of the coat.  Five wire circles run dow the front left, used to catch or hold the clasps (one circle missing).  The coat has no collar.
History
This coat belonged to Holland, MI resident Ivy Ruth Berg Pathuis. She received it as a present on her 18th birthday, December 7, 1941 (yes, the day Pearl Harbor was attacked).
Ivy was born on December 7, 1923 in Chicago, IL. She passed away on July 19, 1992 in Ludington, MI. Ivy is buried in Pilgrim Home Cemetery in Holland, MI.
