Round, white commemorative plate with blue braid design arond the edge and blue lettering beneath the braid. In the center of the plate, there is, in blue, the image of a US soldier, the US flag, Dutch flag, and buildings from the town of Maastricht.
The lettering reads "Bevruding van Maastricht Door Amerikanen, 14 Sept. 1944".
On the back of the plate, in blue letters, is the translation "Maastricht The First Liberated City of Holland".
This plate was given to Bill and Nell Wichers from the Netherlands in appreciation for all they did during WW2 to assist the country.
