Lambert Brouwer, father of Jennie Brouwer Bouws, grandfather of Russ Bouws.He was born on Nov. 10, 1853 in Doornspijk Elburg Municipality, Gelderland, Netherlands. He died on Jun. 3, 1909 in Michigan, USA
Lambert Brouwer, son of Gerrit Brouwer and Beltje Van Loo, died last Thursday morning after a lingering illiness at his home on West Main Street at the age of 56 years. Mr. Brouwer is survived by a widow and four children: Gerrit Brouwer, who is staying at home; Mrs. John R. Bouws and Mrs. William Dinkeloo of Graafschap and Miss Clara Brouwer at home, besides five grand children.
The funeral services were held Monday afternoon from the First christian Reformed Church, the Rev. J. Smitter officiating.
The deceased camed to America from the Netherlands 53 years ago and settled on a farm at East Saugatuck, retiring to Zeeland 12 years ago.
