Description
Black and white photograph of Robert Medrano and Donna Landwehr, dressed in dance costumes of an Argentine style. Medrano and Donna were famous in the 1920's and 30's and travelled around the country.
History
Robert Medrano was one of two survivors of the speed boat crash on Lake Macatawa in July 1928. He died in March 1950 and is buried in Pilgrim Home Cemetery.

Donna Landwehr (1905-1981) is the daughter of August Landwehr and Louisa Kolla. Donna was born in Summit, Ohio on 12-17-1905. The 1910 US Census shows her home as Holland, MI, as does the 1920 US census. The 1934 Holland city directory lists Donna as a Holland resident and a dancer.
Records indicate that Donna was living in Florida by 1935.
Donna and Robert (Roberto) were married in 1933. They were dancing partners and toured the country performing.
Donna died in Los Angeles, CA on 3-14-1981.

Donna was a Ziegfeld dancer. The attached photo of Donna was found among Ziegfeld photos.
