History
John Pierre Kolla was born in France on 9-29-1860. He arrived in America ca. 1880. The 1900 US Census shows him living in Akron, OH with his wife Caroline and working as a laborer. By 1908 they were living in Holland, MI (78 W. 15th) and John was superintendent of the Holland Furnace Company (1908 city directory). John and Caroline had four children: Louisa (1881-1949); Catherine (1883-1886); Leona (1885-1904); and, Katherine (1889-1966). John passed away in 1933.
