Black and white photograph showing students, in costume, from each of the Holland Public Schools grade schools on stage for their production of A Mid Summer's Night Dream. In the bottom right corner, the name Du Saar Photo is visible.
History
Du Saar Photo & Gift Shop was located at 10 East 8th Street (1921 and 1960 city directories). It was operated by Doede J. Du Saar (1870-1935) and his wife Cora Du Saar (1875-1972). By 1946 Albert Schaafsma (1904-1987) had taken over the shop. Albert retired in 1961.
The business began ca. 1918 as the Holland Photo Shop, changing to Du Saar Photo & Gift Shop ca. 1938.
