1999.54.1a-c belonged to Holland, MI resident William R. Vander Veere and family. They lived in Holland at 23 East 14th Street.William was born on February 14, 1862 in Ottawa County, MI to Cornelis Wilbert VanDerVeere (1811–1899) and Pieterke Bolhuis VanDerVeere (1822–1878). Cornelis arrived in the US in 1847, one of the first Dutch pioneers to the Holland area.
William married Johanna Elizabeth Nibbelink in Holland, MI on 7-18-1895. Their children included Katherine Anne Vanderveere (1905-1995) and William R. VanderVeere (1908–1974).
William passed away July 12, 1944 in Holland, MI. He was buried in Pilgrim Home Cemetery.
