Description
White, rectangular greeting card from the Peoples State Bank, sent to Richard Smallenburg. On the front of the card, in black letters, it says "Congratulations! We see you are in-the-news Mr Richard Smallenburg". On the inside is a newspaper clipping from the Holland Sentinel titled "Holland Man named new Foreman". The clipping talks about Richard Smallenburg becoming Ottawa County Park supervisor.
History
Richard Smallenburg, son of Dick Smallenburg (1893-1960) and Bouwina F. Veenstra Smallenburg, was superintendent of the Ottawa County Parks. He married Joan Shearer.
