Christmas card mailed to the Bos family, Front cover image of Santa putting wrapped packages inside one of 3 green mailboxes. 4 additional wrapped packages at base of each mailbox post. Santa’s footprints are seen from box to box; thin silver edge with plain off white border surrounding image; “The Christmas Mail”. Plain inside left side; right side - “Seasons come and seasons go But this will ever be The one that brings the greatest joy And . . . Sweetest Memory!” Hand signed “Niel + ??? Vander Kuy”. Plain back cover - image of black eagle “219, O, Made in USA, Copyrighted by Nat’L PTG Co Inc. MCMXLIX; Thompsonville, Conn.” Handwritten 1949.
History
The Bos family consisted of the donor, Brenda, and her parents Berend (1906-1981) and Grace (1913-1984). They lived in Holland, MI at 259 West 23rd Street.
Berend worked at the French Pastry Shoppe and Dutch Boy Bakery.
