On the right side is the following: "Dear Mr. & Mrs. Bos, May God sustain & make it plain, and together we know we are going down the valley one by one. Sincerely, Ed & Henrietta De Jonge.".

This card was sent by Ed De Jonge (1905-1970) and his wife Henrietta De Jonge (1908-2002) of 183 West 19th Street, Holland, MI.It was sent to Berend and Grace Bos on the event of the passing of Grace's mother, Sara Wynders Vander Putten (1882-1968). Sara, wife of Jacob Vander Putten, lived in Holland, MI on east 8th Street, near Walnut, in Holland, MI.
Grace and Berend, parents of the donor, lived in Holland at 259 West 23rd.
Ed De Jonge and Berend Bos were both employed by Bolhuis Lumber.
