Description
Valentine, sent by the donor to her grandfather, Jacob Vander Putten.  The Valentine consists of a box with a boy's head popping out.  On the side, is the boy's arm, holding a heart.  Move the arm and the head pops up and down.  The caption reads "I'm Springing A Surprise.  I Love You".
History
Jacob Vander Putten was born in the Netherlands on 9-17-1880. He worked at Hart & Cooley for 25 years, retiring in 1945. He lived at 37 East 8th Street, and later at 702 North Shore Drive, with his wife Sara.

Jacob passed away on 4-28-1952 in Holland, MI.
