Description
Black and white photograph showing  the Holland City Hall on 8th Street.  This building also served as a fire station. 

Notice the building is draped in long rolls of fabric.  Two portraits of President U.S. Grant are also visible, placing the date of this photo at 1885, the year Grant died.  The City of Holland was mourning the loss of the former General and President.
