History
Harry Van Pelt and his wife Chita (Zock) Van Pelt (1921-1983) moved to the US from the Netherlands ca. 1947. They appeared at Holland's centennial celebration in 1947. They toured the country and the world for many years performing their Dutch Treat Show.

The couple would later move to the Holland, MI area, where they lived along Lake Michigan. Sometime after making Holland, MI their permanent home, the purchased the Lamplighter Restaurant on River Ave.
