Description
Black and white photograph of the Holland Furnace Company's parade float during Tulip Time.  The float has two banners: "Holland's First Home Built in 1847" and "Holland Furnace Serving Millions of Home Owners from Coast to Coast."  There are a cabin and a woman wearing a Dutch costume on the float.  
History
Holland Furnace began in 1906, founded by John P. Kolla (1860-1933) and his son-in-law, August H. Landwehr (1880-1937). By 1948, the company had a branch in 48 states with sales reaching $41 million. Holland Furnace ceased production in 1962.
