Description
Invoice for furniture purchased from Charles P. Limbert Company. The invoice is dated September 7, 1932 for furniture sold to Theodore Hoeksema Office. It appears 10 different types of furniture pieces were purchased. The invoice gives the cost of each piece with a 50% discount of the purchase. There also seems there were two different finishes on the furniture pieces. The amount paid in full is hand written on the invoice along with initials of an individual. The invoice is a full paper size of 8.5 x 11 inches.
History
Charles P. Limbert started the Charles P. Limbert Company (1894-1944) to manufacture chairs. In 1902, the company began to produce a line of furniture entitled “Dutch Arts and Crafts" or "mission" style of furniture. It is this style that brought recognition to the company. The Holland Michigan factory was located on the corner of 6th and Columbia in Holland.
