History
Seane Tinholt (1903-1974), daughter of Lambertus and Zwaantje Tinholt, attended Holland Christian Schools as well as Hope College. She worked as department supervisor for Holland Furnace for many years.

Holland Furnace began in 1906, founded by John P. Kolla (1860-1933) and his son-in-law, August H. Landwehr (1880-1937). By 1948, the company had a branch in 48 states with sales reaching $41 million. Holland Furnace ceased production in 1962.
