John C. Dyke was born in Holland, MI on 11-21-1868 to Jacobus and Francina Dyke. He married Christiana Damson in Holland on 7-2-1895.John was a member of the Holland Fire Department, Eagle Hose Company No 1 from about 1894-1904. He also worked as a foreman for the Holland Furniture factory. John also served two terms as a marshal in Holland.
John played a role in the construction of Holland's city hall building on River Avenue. He passed away in Holland on 10-25-1919.
