Certificate, from the American Legion, awarded to Holland resident Albert Arens for 60 years of membership in good standing.

 
History
Albert Arens was a member of the 85th Division during WWI. He was born on August 15, 1891 in Fillmore, Allegan Co., MI to Jan and Maggie Arens. Albert died on April 13, 1998 at the age of 106. He was buried in Pilgrim Home Cemetery.

During his life, Albert was a member of Maple Avenue Christian Reformed Church, the VFW Post 2144, American Leagion Post 6, and DAV Post 14.
