Donation 2020.6 focuses on the William and Laura Dykstra family. The family consists of the following: William "Bill" Dykstra (1897-1986); Bill's wife, Laura Mannes (1895-1970); and their children, Louise Brinks (1922-2016); Betty Prins (1923-1996); La Verne Dykstra (1927-2006); Ruth Busscher (1930-2015); Marvin Dykstra; Earl Dykstra and Bob Dykstra.

Bill and Laura were married in 1921. They lived in Holland, MI at 334 West 21st Street from 1929 to 1936. City directories show the family living at 495 Harrison Avenue in Holland, MI from 1936 through the 1960s.

Bill was employed by West Michigan Furniture as a cabinet maker from about 1927 to 1942. By 1942 he worked as custodian at Holland Christian High.

It should be noted that photographs from accession 2020.6 were located in two photo albums, each album assembled by Marilyn Witteveen Dykstra, wife of donor Bob Dykstra.
