Negative showing Holland City Manager Herb Holt (left), Leonard Naab of South Haven and Holland Mayor Nelson Bosman (right) standing on a floating marina made of steel, fiberglass and foam. The marina was installed on Lake Macatawa temporarily.
The marina consisted of 16 separate mooring devices that, when linked, would create a 30 foot section of water in the center.

H. Herb Holt (1921-2001) was appointed Holland's City Manager in November of 1954. Herb, a native of Akron, Colorado, attended the University of Kansas. Holt, and wife Virginia, left Holland in 1969 for a job in Florida.
This negative was taken by Ted Jungblut, Jr. He operated the Holland Photography studio at 321 River Ave in Holland, MI from about 1964 to 1990.
