Black and white photograph of Geert Albers. The following information was shared by a relative in 2023, "The photo of the gentleman in the top hat holding a cigar is Geert Albers' oldest son, also named Geert, born on 15 February 1821 in House 20, Vlagtwedde, Groningen, Netherlands by his first wife Geessien Jans Horlings. The son died on 19 January 1892 in Delfzijl, Groningen, Netherlands. The pictured son, who was a successful boat captain, visited his half siblings in the Holland, MI area in 1890. One family member recalled him as being "quite a dude"."
