History
The 25th Michigan Infantry was a Union Civil War Regiment organized at Kalamazoo, Michigan in September 1862. It was led by Col. Orlando H. Moore. Company I of the 25th was composed largely of men from Holland, MI and its surrounding areas. The 25th is most well-known for the Battle of Tebb's Bend, where roughly 200 of its soldiers (including men from Company I) successfully held off about 3,000 confederate soldiers led by General John Hunt Morgan. ;
