An autograph book kept by Eva Meinsma Kobes from 1929-1937.
History
Eva Loretta Meinsma Kobes was born April 29, 1923, in Dixon, Illinois, to Arthur and Jeannetta Meinsma. Her mother passed away less than a month after her birth. Eva lived with her older sister, (Alice) Marie with their maternal grandparents, Henry and Mary Van Den Belt, in Holland. There they attended Holland Public Schools from which Eva graduated in 1941. After graduating, Eva worked for six years as the office secretary for Holland High School. Later Eva worked as an office clerk for Isaac Kouw Realtv Co. Eva married Ben Schakelaar. In 1973. after the death of her first husband, she married John Kobes.
