Grace was born on 5-12-1916 to Otto and Steina Vander Plaats. They lived in Holland, MI at 13 West 16th Street, above their hardware store (Holland city directory 1947, 1954, 1957). They had two children: Howard (1937-2017); and, Cathleen (1951-2006).
